Artist Statement: My art is a journey of transformation, guided by color, texture, and a deep-seated curiosity. Through drawing and mixed media, I create depth and movement that invite viewers to pause and engage with the work on a deeper level. Each piece reflects a connection between courage, creativity, and the stories waiting to be uncovered.

REALISTIC & IMPRESSIONISTIC ART

RK’s art merges realism and abstraction, blending animals, natural elements, and symbolic imagery with vibrant colors. Specializing in mixed media, she draws inspiration from nature and music. She aims to highlight beauty, connect with collectors, and publish art books that inspire other artists. RK is an artist who began drawing at age four and has never stopped. Initially self-taught, she later studied with well-known California artists before earning a B.S. in Medical Technology from the University of Colorado Medical School and an M.A. in Education from the University of Northern Colorado.

Her professional journey includes training at the Art2Life Academy and the Milan Art Institute, where she completed advanced programs. In 2025, she studied under Duane Keiser, the university professor known for his innovative “A Painting A Day” practice. She has sold work directly from her studio and was featured in a curated gallery show in Brighton, Colorado.
